This privacy policy applies to the app Currencies (also known as ECBCurrencies, the
“Application”) for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, created by Akkon Software
Dr. Andreas Plagens (“we”). The Application is a currency converter built on the euro
foreign exchange reference rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB), covering
more than 30 currencies and conversion between any pair of them.

In short: the Application collects no personal data. There are no user accounts, no
advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party services.

What information does the Application obtain?

None. The Application does not obtain any personal information from you. Everything you do
inside the Application — your favorite currencies, your chosen reference currency, and the
cached exchange rates — is stored on your device only.

Network connections

To obtain current exchange rates, the Application connects to the ECB’s public data
service and requests the latest reference rates. This request contains no personal data.
As with any internet connection, your device’s IP address is technically visible to the
ECB’s server; we never see it, and the ECB’s handling of server connections is governed by
the ECB’s own privacy statement (https://www.ecb.europa.eu).

The Application uses your internet connection for these requests, which may be subject to
charges by your mobile service provider. Without a connection, the Application continues
to work using the most recently cached rates.

iPhone and Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, your favorites, reference currency, and cached
rates are synchronized directly between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s
Watch Connectivity framework. This data travels only between your own devices; it is not
transmitted to us or to any third party.

Do third parties see or have access to any information?

No. Since we do not collect any information, there is nothing we could share, and no
third-party services are integrated into the Application.

Your rights (GDPR)

Because we do not process any personal data, requests for access, correction, deletion, or
data portability have no data to act upon. You are nevertheless welcome to contact us with
any privacy question (see below), and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your
data protection supervisory authority.

Children

The Application does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Opt-out

If you no longer wish to use the Application, simply uninstall it from your device using
the standard uninstallation process. This removes all locally stored data.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this
page with an updated revision date.

End User License Agreement

Use of the Application is subject to Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA)
